Christmas Parties...

Every year my company hosts an awsome Christmas Party. This year it was at the Hilton downtown. Cocktail hour, dinner and drinks, after party downtown...hotel room on the firm. So much fun!!

We had a baby shower this weekend for my sister and I started to realize how many people are having babies, had a baby recently, or are expecting....CRAZY and Wonderful!! My sister makes one super adorable prego lady!!

Kyle's Buck

A very exciting story for my husband!!! His grandfather passed along a deer rifle to him over the Thanksgiving holiday...maybe it was good luck or something because on his first hunt ever he shot a 10 point buck!!! Proud, excited and overwhelmed Kyle has a new past time. I'm not sure if this means he gives up golfing or if it just means I see him less during hunting season and golf season (although he thinks golf season is pretty much year round):) The main question still remains though of whether or not to mount it and if mounted where does it go???!!??

A Day at the Park

In celebration of Caden's 3rd t-ball season we went to the park for some lunch and of course the most important part...the medal for his efforts. He wasn't at all disappointed that they got medals instead of trophies.

The Varela Family

Congrats to our dearest friends Randy and Heather on the birth of their Baby BOY last night.

He was 8lbs 6oz and 20 inces long. We received a phone call from an EXTREMLY Proud Husband and Father last night at 9:30. With two GREAT coaches (Cassie and Randy) Heather was a trooper and did it with no medical intervention...yes that means she had no pain medicine or any other typical procedure!!

Peyton's new word. He loves his rocking horse and now if he is following me around I can tell him to go rock, rcok on his horse and he will repeat me and go play..way too cute.

"Red River Shootout"

Kyle and I took a weekend trip to Dallas to watch the Horns beat OU!! YAY!! After a great game on Saturday we went to Papas Bros. Steakhouse. If you decide to try this place you need to have the crab cakes as an appetizer...they are wonderful.

It was a lot of fun and two (everyone with kids should get away for a couple nights once in a while)nights without the kiddos was relaxing as well.

My Little Monkey

Peyton is extremely stubborn when it comes to being covered up with a blanket...and there is no tricking him. He can be sound asleep and I will put his blankets on him and within minutes he's rolling around and kicking them off. The sad thing is, his little legs and feet are FREEZING. However, I get to buy adorable pajamas and even though it's almost 100 degrees outside he wears the cute pant sets.

SOCCER

So, after being involved with t-ball for the past couple years I wasn't too sure about Soccer...I have changed my mind!! After watching Landon play only two games I absolutely LOVE it!!

One Year!!!

One Year has passed since our adorable son Peyton was born. Even though his birthday was celebrated a little late we were glad all of our family was able to celebrate with us last weekend.

WHY do they have to grow so fast?

SPORTS & BOYS

Soccer, t-ball, flag football, basketball....while watching your sons play sports is probably one of the FUNNEST things about having boys it is truly EXHAUSTING.


Mom & Dads' Schedule:

Monday: Soccer Practice & T-ball practice (we split up to tackle Monday)
Tuesday: T-ball Game
Wednesday: Soccer practice
Thursday: OPEN!!!
Friday: T ball practice
Saturday: Soccer game and T-ball game (we just hope for different times)


Despite the CRAZY schedule, when you see them in their uniform and out on the field..it is SO worth it!

First Day of School

The boys love their new teachers and are off to a great start!! I was worried about moving to a new area and starting a new school but they both love it and have adjusted very well.

On the first day Caden asked if Landon could walk him to class instead of me. I was one SAD mom! I even considered telling him that it was the rule that I walk them to class on the FIRST day. Then I realized, he was SUPER excited to have his BIG brother walk with him and I decided to let him go. Anyway, I had already met his teacher so I said GOODBYE to my Kindergartner and my 2nd Grader as they walked into the school side by side. SO SWEET!!!

Soccer Star

This video is from about three weeks ago. As soon as he took his first couple steps at 10 months he also started kicking the soccer ball. Too ADORABLE!!!

For all of us parents that don't have any pictures together as a couple...please take my advice and take pictures of just you and your hubby!! I am looking at my post for our anniversary and realized how pathetic it is that I have no good picture of Kyle & I. Not even ONE!!!

It's an absolute must to get some pics together!!! So that is my new goal when I get out the camera, lots of great shots of the kids (because lets' face it that's what everyone wants to see) and a few of just me & Kyle. Next year at this time I will have a nice collage of us to post. :)

We said I Do....

Eight Years Ago on 8/18/2000

WOW - 8 Years of Marriage Bliss!!! We celebrated with a quiet day and night of no kiddos. While the silent house and peaceful dinner was wonderful, it simply was not quite enough time together. I think for each kid you have you should take one day away..although I doubt those in charge of three boys would agree with me! :)


I am truly SO GRATEFUL to be able to say that after 8 years I am happier with each one that passes!!

Happy 5th Birthday!!

LATE LATE POST but definately a must when it comes to celebrating Caden's 5th Birthday. He had a GREAT time swimming and enjoying hot dogs and of course plenty of presents and cake. A HUGE Thanks to all who came and to everyone that sent Caden something special.

What a great day!! I am excited and sad to say though that this means he has officially met the age cutoff to attend Kindergarten. So off to Kindergarten we go in a few weeks. :)

A new "Daddy Do"

I thought going to the grocery store without Peyton and Kyle might make the trip a little quicker and easier. The only thing is Daddy had his own agenda....

July 4th continued...

Pics from our weekend. Although we had a nice weekend it never fails that the moment you get out of town one of the kiddos gets sick. Peyton wasn't terribly sick but he was stuffy and didn't let us get any sleep. So our relaxing family weekend turned into a sleepless weekend. Despite that it was GREAT!!
